Pre-launched by a gold signature edition of 950 from Connaught House. Boris is complimented by the Aurora Polar Bear and Alice. All three are named after the 'Northern Lights', otherwise known as the 'Aurora Borealis' (Aurora, Boris, Alice!). The names for the polar bear cubs were chosen by a naming competition for Connaught House customers. The prize, won by Mrs Jordan of Matlock, Derbyshire, was a pair of polar bear cubs to match their 'Aurora' edition number signed by Jane James with a signed copy of the original artwork. Introduced to the general range in 2007 as the Standing Polar Bear Cub. |
