Comments:

 Limited edition of 1750 from Govier's, Sidmouth. It is the second paperweight in their Mythical Beasts series and is paired with Pegasus. This model will never be re-issued in another colourway. Although very similar at first glance to Govier's previous Unicorn, it is modelled in the opposite hand and whereas the previous one was the first Royal Crown Derby paperweight to combine metal with porcelain, the Mythical Unicorn will be the first Royal Crown Derby paperweight to have a hallmarked silver gilt horn.
